A Henderson native, Tiffany has a strong interest in complementary and alternative therapies including yoga, aromatherapy, Tibetan Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, meditation, energy healing and more. She is a Reiki master and has been to India several times studying yoga, Tibetan Medicine and Ayurveda. She is received her 200 hour Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) teacher certificate in April 2015, and also holds a certificate in Complementary and Alternative therapies from the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. Tiffany practices yoga as not only an exercise but embraces the lifestyle and philosophy behind the vast and ancient teachings. It is a key tool in developing a healthy mind, body and spirit. She is married to her husband Mark and stays busy working as a pharmacist and raising their 3 year old daughter, Veda. She is also the owner of Om Shanti Wellness, wellness products made from essential oils.

Hatha Yoga Instructor
Mary Mueller leads a mixed level Hatha yoga class with an emphasis on connecting to the breath, and finding the quite peace and healing within the yoga practice. Mary teaches at Henderson Healing Hub on Monday mornings at 9am. She received her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Sun Moon Yoga Studio in Mankato in 2012
Mary has a degree in Ecology from MN State University, Mankato. She owns and operates a Prairie Restoration business and has spent much of her career restoring wetlands and prairie. Mary and her husband Mike live on a farm near Winthrop where they practice various methods of living lightly on the land. They have two grown Children. Mary touches on our connection to Mother Earth and the changing seasons throughout her yoga classes.
Doug Blanchard, L.Ac.
Chinese Martial Arts Instructor
Doug Blanchard has been studying Martial Arts for the better part of 20+ years. During the fall of 1993, at the age of 15, he was introduced to the Japanese Martial Art of Goju Ryu which he studied for three years, accomplishing a 1st Degree Black Belt. During this time he became intrigued and fascinated with the Asian Culture and all that it had to offer. Many years later, in May of 2004, he began learning a Chinese Martial Art from Head Instructor Dr. Glen Hepker, who is owner of Mason City Tai Chi/Kung Fu, located in Mason City, IA. Through years of studying and practicing daily Doug was presented with his Third Degree Black Belt/Second Level Master Certification of Li-Jia Tao-Chan Kung Fu/Li-Jia Tai Chi Chuan On May 1st of 2014.
In May of 2013 Doug received his BS in Psychology from Iowa State University. After this he moved to Bloomington, MN to pursue his goal in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University. In September of 2015 Doug transferred to AAAOM (American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) in Roseville, MN to further his education in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Doug graduated in April of 2017 with a Masters in Oriental Medicine. Some of his studies are, but not limited to, Acupressure, Fire Cupping, Chinese Herbal Formulas, Pediatric Tui Na (Chinese massage), Muscular-Skeletal Disorders, and Chinese Dietary Therapy just to name a few.
Doug has had 13+ years of training and teaching of the Martial Art, Li-Jia Tao-Chan Kung Fu and Li-Jia Tai Chi Chuan. In the many years leading up to this he has worked with individuals of all age, race, and gender in the art of Kung Fu/Tai Chi, Self-Defense, Meditation, Exercise, Stretching, and Chi Kung. Doug has worked with groups as well as individuals in the pursuit of bettering themselves in mind, body, and soul. Through his training he has been able to provide for those that are looking for self-improvement through health and well-being.
Michele Rusinko is a teacher, choreographer, dancer and writer. She has taught at Gustavus Adolphus College, in St. Peter, Minnesota, for 29+ years. She received her B.A. from St. Olaf College and M.F.A. from Arizona State University. While at ASU, she was the recipient of several academic and artistic honors including a first place award in technical performance and choreography from the American College Dance Festival Association, an invitation to perform her solo work, Seed For Planting: Homage to Käthe Kollwitz, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and being named the outstanding graduate of the Graduate College. Prior to coming to Gustavus, Rusinko spent four years as the Director of Dance at Weber State University in Odgen, Utah.
She is also a breast cancer survivor, yoga teacher and resiliency coach. Michele has spent her entire career integrating the life of the mind with the wisdom of the body. Navigating her cancer diagnosis gave her new skills which allowed her to feel empowered and joyful as she adapted to the changing landscape. It is these skills, and this dance, she enjoys sharing with students of all ages and backgrounds.
She teaches Embracing Ease on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m.
Michele holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Sun Moon Yoga, Chair Yoga teacher certification from Strong Spirits: Mindfulness and Movement Program, and Y4C (Yoga4cancer) teacher certification.
Certified Yoga Instructor
Alexis is a Le Sueur native and current resident of Henderson. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.A. in Human Development. She began practicing yoga in 2004 and has been certified since 2009 at the 200 hour level.
She teaches vinyasa style here at the Hub on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. Her background in Kinesiology, health promotion and physical activity led her to the vinyasa practice, which can be viewed as a moving meditation, using the breath as a guide. It's also a great way to increase flexibility, build strength and calm the mind.
Vinyasa is a great style of yoga for newer and seasoned practitioners alike! Alexis views yoga as an all-inclusive practice and that it should be available to all in each community at an affordable price.
Liz Power Hawkinson, Life and Mindfulness Coach and Registered Yoga Teacher, MSW, LICSW
Liz has been teaching yoga as a Yoga Alliance registered teacher since 2002. She is a life and mindfulness coach and completed her coaching training through Presence-Based Coaching in Asheville, North Carolina.
She has certifications in Yoga of the Heart with Nischala Joy Devi; Yoga for Osteoporosis with Loren Fishman, MD; and Yoga for Arthritis with Ann Swanson. She completed programs with Gary Kraftsow while at Kripalu in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and has done extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She facilitated the 8-week MBSR program with over 200 students in Southern Minnesota during her time as a clinical social worker/therapist at Mayo Clinic Health System and continues to provide

David first started his interest and studies in Reiki and the Chakras in 2008. He received his Reiki Master/Teacher certificate in 2011. He is a professional member of the International Center for Reiki Training. He is a certified teacher and practitioner in Usui / Holy Fire, as well as a Registered Karuna® Reiki Master.
David is dedicated to providing compassionate care, and to mentoring students as qualified and caring practitioners who will contribute to the healing and welfare of all living beings.
David does Chakra balancing, alignment and recharging the Chakra’s with a process called color fill.
David’s studio is in Belle Plaine, MN and he travels for his clients and students throughout the metro and surrounding area. He can be found teaching here at the Healing Hub.
